A new Superman movie is being greenlit.  There considerable debate as to what happens to the copyrights to the character once 2013 passes (Warner Bros. will still retain the trademark, though).

It will NOT be a follow-up to snoozer Superman Returns, Bryan Singer's dream project that just didn't cut it.  In fact, it is being referred to as Superman 3.0.

Supposedly, an official announcement will be made.  Christopher Nolan will direct it once he gets the next Batman movie in the can.

I'm not sure about this.  Superman isn't a dark character, and Nolan thrives on darkness.  But, I'm still willing to give it a shot.
