Sound Waves DUH

Forgiveness Is Divine, But Still Has It's Limits

Let's pretend.

Peter G is working hard trying to start his comic career (again) and he gets an idea.  He needs some sort of Q score to get readers.  Get reader, get attention, get the name out there.  So, he calls Paris Hilton and proposes a comic book idea with her as a superhero.  Peter knows how to write and has access to a few different artists who do quality stuff.  And then Hilton slams the phone down on him.  Turns out she's read his blog.  She's read Stress Puppy.  She is aware that Peter regards her...rather poorly.  And Peter claims he can't understand where the hostility is coming from.

The reason for this is Mel Gibson is back in the news.  He appears to not want to be a laughing stock anymore.  So he's doing that old standby, selling out.  Gibson is planning to make a movie (no word on if he'll direct and/or star, but he will produce) about Judah Maccabee.  For those who don't know, Maccabee is a Jewish religious icon and hero who was responsible for the creation of Hanukkah.

Yeah.  Raving anti-Semite Mel Gibson is making a movie about one of the key players in Judeo-Christian beliefs.

Warner Bros. has agreed to distribute the movie, and Joe Esterhaus (Showgirls, An Alan Smithee Film, and lots of other bullshit films) is writing the script.

They say there's no such thing as bad publicity.  Let's find out if that's true.
