What Are Words For When No One Listens Anymore?

Longtime readers and longtime friends are aware that I have my own peculiar vocabulary.  I have certain expressions and things that are completely unique to me.  That no one else uses for whatever reason.

So, back during C2E2, I found out that a very VERY big name comic industry pro knew about me and knew who I was.  I haven't revealed who it is as his message to me was confidential, but it's a strangely satisfying feeling.

I mention this because there is a comic industry pro, one of the top 20 working for The Bigs.  I've been a fan of his for years, and I admire the guy.  I don't read it every time, but I do enjoy reading his blog and his ruminations on the industry and the art form.

I'm reading one of his recent entries, and I saw it.

One of my expressions.

This isn't a coincidence.  I am unaware of anyone else using it.  And he used it in the exact context I use it in and the exact same way I use it.

Now, this isn't to say that he, say, likes my stuff or likes me or anything like that.  All it indicates is that he likes the turn of phrase that I use and he has apparently unconsciously appropriated it into his lexicon.

But this guy has read my stuff.  And has read it enough that I had some sort of influence on him.
