But I love Jane Lynch.
I first learned of Dalton, IL native Lynch when she became part of the Christopher Guest Stock Company. She was a riot in Best In Show. Guest does improv movies -- everyone gets the general set-up for the scene, they turn the cameras on, and they just run. Lynch is an expert improver. She was on Lovespring International, a single-camera improv show about a dating service that ran on Lifetime (decent cast, but she clearly was lightyears ahead of them). She appeared on the TV show "Thank God You're Here!" She rolled expertly with a scene until she came up with a gag that completely redefined it and pushed it over the top. I respect and admire her.
This also means that I sometimes have a bit of a crush on her. I'm a sucker for a woman with a fast and clever mind.
So I'm reading the news, and there's an article about celebrities that are out and proud. 21 of them, to be precise. I decided to check it out. There are some obvious ones like Neil Patrick Harris and George Takei and Ellen deGeneres and Sir Ian McKellan. There are some I didn't know like Wanda Sykes and Meridith Baxter and...
...well, there went THOSE occasional daydreams.
At least I can still enjoy and admire her 1337 comedy skillz.
And at least I still have my Kylie Minogue daydreams.
