Just Out Of Curiosity....

When did "My Favorite Things" become considered a Christmas standard?

Don't get me wrong, great song (although I was never thrilled with the bridges between verses.  I understand why they're there and played the way it is, it just is jarring to the rest of the song to me), and hearing Frankie sing it is made of awesome.  But it doesn't even mention Christmas.  I'm just wondering how it happened.

Probably about the same time as "Baby, It's Cold Outside" and "Let It Snow".

As for why, it's probably because it sounds like a Christmas list.

I dunno either...we were puzzling over that this morning when it came on Rhapsody. Snowflakes and packages tied up with strings?

Makes as much sense as anything else.
