Not anymore, she doesn't.
Busy morning, didn't really get a chance to post the message when the news broke. For those who don't know, Don't Ask Don't Tell got told off. Gone. History. Poof. Huzzah. The end.
On the one hand, I want to thank Congress for getting rid of this stupidity before the session ended. I mean, there's no way the R's would have let it out of the Senate next year.
On the other hand, I want to slap Congress around.
Other than Obamacare and the stimulus packages from when Obama first took office, what has Congress accomplished? Zip. Now, with days left on the clock where they control things, they've passed a tax cut extension and repealed a piece of hateful, divisive legislation in a week.
WHY CAN'T YOU GUYS GET THINGS DONE THIS QUICKLY UNDER NORMAL CIRCUMSTANCES?!?
I know this is not the right thing, it's just to try and score brownie points with voting blocks. But given that it is removing a horrible, oppressive, UNAMERICAN rule, I'll take it. Let freedom ring. It's always nice to hear.
