It is important to keep in mind the reason America broke away from England.  For example, England does not have freedom of the press (the Official Secrets Act).  England also doesn't keep some things out in the open.  The Court Of Protection is a little known branch of the judiciary that meets behind closed doors.  And England also has all kinds of ways of interfering with people's rights.

The Court Of Protection just ruled that a man was too stupid to have sex.

Okay, how many of you are coming up with a list of people you'd like to submit to this judge for similar consideration?  How many of you are starting with family members like I am?

The man in question has an IQ of 48 and a "moderate" learning disability.  The judge ruled that he did not understand what he was doing, although the guy's 41 year old lover begged to differ.  A shrink involved in the case tried to keep the guy from getting sex education because he felt it would make him "confused".  So the man is now under “close supervision” by the local authorities in order to make sure he complies with the order.

At issue here is the Mental Capacity Act 2005.  It gave judges in the Court Of Protection the authority to make life or death decisions for people deemed to lack the intelligence to make them for themselves.  This includes ordering they undergo surgery, have forced abortions, have life-support switched off or be forced to use contraception.  Somewhere, the eugenics movement is smiling.

Wow.  Talk about a sexual revolution.

I'm firmly of the opinion that the world would be a better place if we all had more sex -- but fewer babies. Legislate THAT.
