Cloudburst Status Report -- Weekend #2

Well, that was a lost weekend.

Mom and dad have come back from Florida this week.  Dad, apparently, missed palling around with his son.  So he asks me to go searching for stuff for his Mac with him on Sunday.  We'll hit the Apple store and Best Buy and so on..."Oh, and if you want to catch a movie, I'm fine with that."

Saturday was occupied with me trying different ideas for test sketches for the player character in the game and jotting down pseudo code on Kylie as I went around, hunting down my Atari Jaguar to review a new homebrew game for the magazine.  I was trying to figure out how to incorporate a round counter (round 1, round 2, round 3), but couldn't make it work right with my established global variables.  Sunday got completely chewed up hanging around with my dad.  We had a great time, but the long and the short of it is, I didn't do shit with Cloudburst this weekend.  On the bright side, last weekend put me so far ahead, one weekend of downtime like this is acceptable.  Hell, I could probably blow a few weekends if I wasn't so damn impatient to get the project done and in the can.

So, the O'Hara Rule is in effect ("Tomorrow is another day").  Goals for next weekend are to put the round counter in and make it work CORRECTLY.  During the week, I'll sort through my ideas and test sketches for the player character and settle on a design (animation when you never trained yourself to drawing for it is a very difficult task).  So, player animation, and round counter (along with resetting the sun "round timer").

I better get SOMETHING done next weekend!
