It Was 40 Years Ago Today....

As I type this, my TV is on Turner Classic Movies.  They are currently running "For All Mankind", chronicling the moon mission.

Think about that for a minute.  Three very brave men risked their lives as they undertook mankind's greatest adventure, a trek to another world.  Considering how fraught with danger any space venture is, it's amazing there haven't been more deaths.  But these were the first, making a perilous five day journey, praying that their craft would not fall apart, that they would make it home, that the faith they put in physics and human engineering would be rewarded.

Take a moment to think of them and how much will it took to overcome their fears or remain calm when things went wrong.

These men are heroes.  Honor them as such.
