Get some popcorn, this is going to get interesting.

During the week, I got a message from a (clearly) new reader.  "He" (let's face it, do you really know when it comes to anonymous random persons over the Intertubes?) is taking issue with all my Republican bashing.  He says that, despite what I say about not liking Obama and such, I am clearly Democratic and should admit the truth.

I do NOT like people defining my politics for me.  And so, my response...

Now then, dipshit, you clearly have not been reading my blog since the beginning.  If you had, you'd see that I have also bashed:

*  Obamacare (in fact, there was a point where it seemed like I was writing up about that every day)

*  The Cash For Clunkers program

*  ACTA and its effects on copyright law and digital rights

*  The Obama Administration appointing RIAA connected lawyers to the Department Of Justice

*  Budget overspending

*  Obama's flipflop on public election funds

...and other stuff I'm sure I'm forgetting at the moment.

There are two things to keep in mind about political commentary.  The first is, you are at the mercy of whoever is making news.  Right now, the Obama Administration is keeping relatively quiet.  The headlines are being grabbed by the right wingers.  THEY are giving me stuff to react to, and so I react.  Give me news of questionable things the Obama Administration has recently done that doesn't sound like it came from someone talking to himself on the bus and we'll see if I have anything to say.

The second is my political stance.  My dad, for example, says that I am more Republican than Democrat.  Whatever.  It doesn't matter what side I'm on, I will demand integrity from anyone seeking to represent me.  I am not interested in supporting someone to keep another person out.  The lesser of two evils is still evil.  This is also why, when Obama does something right or I approve of, integrity DEMANDS that I give him props.  Only praising those that I BELIEVE are on my side while hammering only those I don't like makes me a hypocrite and the very thing I hate.  I will NOT do that.

So, you don't like my recent spate of R bashing?  It is in their power to stop the bashing.  All they have to do is stop being stupid.  Of course, being politicians, that may not be posible.

And if you don't like reading me because I happen to be picking on some group you support but you can't provide any reasonable counterarguments why I'm wrong to bash them other than attempting to recast me and marginalize me?  Go read someone else's blog.  These are my thoughts, not yours.  Start your own goddamn blog.  But quit reading mine.  My readers call me on my bullshit and give me things to think about.  Frankly, I don't want your kind here.  FO&D.

AND, in addition to, on top of...

If this person had read the comments of any of your recent political posts, he would have noticed that you have not attacked me for constantly saying "Ron Paul 2012" in spite of Ron Paul being a Republican (in name only). Therefore, how can you possibly be a Republican bashing Democrat.

Anyone who has spent any time reading your journal would clearly see you as an Independent or a Libertarian. Only a bi-partisan obsessed moron would think otherwise.

Oh...

RON PAUL 2012!!!

Bravo, sir! Bravo!

Nobody should try to put you into some category. To me, it's pretty obvious that you weigh every single issue separately. And when something bothers you, you talk about it. Seems pretty simple to me.

Keep being your awesome self. ♥
