Bend Me, Shape Me, Any Way You Want Me

If you want to work in comics, you need to learn anatomy!  You need to be able to draw the human figure realistically!

I usually keep a few Michael Turner and J. Scott Campbell images handy.  No, you don't need to know anatomy.  If you can make a woman look dynamic and make her look hot, you can get away with anything.

Need proof?  Here is the "subject to change" cover of DC's Catwoman #0:

I have stared at this for two minutes now, and I cannot see how in the hell anyone is supposed to bend like that.

Sheesh, I admit my drawing of Supergirl was bad, but I'd rather have my bad style than "used as currency in men's correctional facilities" style.  In case you're wondering why I'm sticking with my cartoony style....

Why is it that comic book artists feel they have to show off a woman's ass and tits at the same time? It's as if they feel that showing a side-view or a profile won't interest anyone.

I personally suspect a lot of...ahem...drawing with one hand....

Don't show it to Fearless Leader, he's liable to try and incorporate it into your workout!

P.S. My favorite part is how the ass part of the outfit still creates a thong/whale tail effect instead of stretching taut. ;-)
