By now, we've all heard stories about how parents of kids in youth sports leagues act like assholes. They fight other parents, they push their kids way too fucking hard, anything to live vicariously through their special little snowflakes.
Welcome to Buffalo Grove, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. They recently used some of their tax money for park upkeep to put up signs like this:
CAN I GET A FUCKIN' A?!?
Similar signs went up at the youth ice hockey rink in Hoffman Estates last year. The signs further state....
"Referees, umpires, and officials are human and make mistakes, just like players, coaches, and you. No one shouts at you in front of other people when you make a mistake, so please don't yell at them. We do not have video replay; so, we will go with their calls."
And somewhere, you can hear the children sigh with relief.
