"I don't usually review self-published authors because the work is usually lesser quality and they don't have a marketing plan in place."

You have a YouTube channel with 336 subscribers.  Don't you think your reasoning is a bit...out of scale?

"If you had bothered to listen to some of our podcasts, you'd know that we only review books we are currently reading.  Lurk and get to know who you are contacting before you write them."

You know what else would help?  A FAQ on your web site.

If print is dead, it's because assholes like these are swinging the axe.

I think the "know who you are contacting" warning is a good one. I can only imagine being flooded by every Tom, Dick, and Harry asking for reviews. I'd probably be about as blunt.

I will concede your point. However, given that the site has no FAQ on it, and each podcast episode is over an hour long, it just seems like something that could be handled by putting a thing on the web page saying so.
