In a letter to my mom and dad, she said that was a good thing because people who go there usually get another six months shaved off their sentences. So my sister's pending release date is in January now.
I commented, Gee, I didn't get a letter, I wonder why.
"Because she knows you're pissed at her," my dad explained.
I told him I was being sarcastic. Besides, he's wrong -- she isn't communicating with me because she knows I'll see through her bullshit.
Mom and dad won't.
And the visit was proof.
Mom and dad gushed how my sister is turning herself around! She cleaned up, she did her hair, she had make-up on (she doesn't usually wear make-up. That should be a major red flag), her eyes were clear, yada yada yada.
And my parents are telling me I need to be more forgiving and supportive, like a good big brother. And they are getting mad at me.
When I pointed out that everything I predicted would happen has come to pass so maaaaaaaaaaaybe I'm right that this is an act my sister is putting on to con them, my mom exploded, "Well, I'm hopeful! I'm not like you! I want her to get better!"
So it's back to me working behind the scenes to protect my parents and biting my tongue around my parents.
And this has been the latest installment of You Dumb Bitch, Starring My Sister.
Huh...it's a rerun....
