I just walked to the store to get some fixings (I've got a Red Baron and my Tex Avery collection, and I'm not afraid to use them), and have some observations from the trip.

1) There's going to be a LOT of people calling off work tomorrow. My neighbor was out on his snowmobile and offered to give me a ride to the store about a half mile from where I live. However, he's clearly not expecting to go to work tomorrow -- he's had a few wet ones. In fact, he smelled like he could power his snowmobile just by breathing in the gas tank (riding bitch with him did not strike me as the smartest idea in the world). He's not expecting to go anywhere tomorrow. Me, neither. Six inches of snow since I shoveled my way out of the driveway this morning. I used up all my personal days from last year, and just got a new set approximately three days ago. Timing. Is. Everything.

2) I walked because the roads were slick -- cars and trucks are fishtailing or hitting the curb at 15MPH. When I got to the store a thought struck me -- whether I drove or walked, I probably would have gotten here at the exact same time.

3) You know you have bad weather when the liquor stores won't even open. Good thing I patched up the ol' mash tun this summer.

Nah, I was just making a joke. I'm afraid I don't drink. Never acquired a taste for it.

I like to tell people, "The only drug I'm doing is Rogaine."

*grin* Well, you wouldn't be the first I've met if you did brew and didn't drink it. Some people just like the process, I guess.
