Throwing Yourself Into Your Work

This is kind of how things go.  I'll hear something, and my brain won't fully process the ramifications until much later.

I don't read many mainstream comics.  So the Marvel Ultimates line completely passed me by.  Or still is passing me by, if you will.  Supposedly, there was an Ultimate Hulk vs. Wolverine book that was supposed to be done long ago.  Issue #3 is only now coming out.  It seems the writer of the book is also a writer for "Lost", and he doesn't have time to do the issues any faster than this.

I know writing is tough.  I've written story arc proposals, complete with a full scripted issue, overnight to show off what I can do and prove how much I want to be a writer.  I can't get any publishers to give me the time of day, let alone review my writing.  And here's a guy with a gig who seems to be rather casual about the deadlines, and he's still on the job.  Sheesh.
