I finally found the rss feed and have added it to my podcast aggregator.

Having finished listening to the podcast, I decided I would comment on your segment.

You seemed a little scatterbrained, off the cuff, unscripted... thank you for being you. Okay, I hunted down the image of which you spoke, and I'm not really seeing why that image in particular was the one that suddenly set people off. I will admit that it is a tad racier than what I would normally expect for a superhero comic, but still not as bad as I've previously seen. You have a female character whose costume is (as many female characters' costumes are) rather form fitting. It always has been. Her costume has not changed, only her form has (depending on the artist in question). The position, while the head is at an unlikely tilt (I will get to that), kinda looks like she is crawling up the edge of a building from crawling up the wall. Which is something that Spider-Man does (I am unfamiliar enough with this character to know if she does). So nothing spectacular there. The only differences that really stand out are the head tilt, and how the costume fits at her butt, almost as if it is body paint and not actually a costume. Which brings in the Manara factor.

Unlike yourself, I do like Manara's art, but it has it's place. Manara's is a very European style, and it really doesn't fit well with American superhero comics. It leans more toward looking-down-the-nose art than to comic book art. You would expect his work to appear more in Heavy Metal Magazine, or in a fantasy series, than in superhero comics. In addition, as you said, Manara is a porn artist. He always has been, and he always will be. I have described his work as having the best "O-faces" in the biz. Which brings me back to the image. It almost looks like he took an existing image he had lying around of a woman being taken from behind, added a costume, and changed from "O-face" to "pissed off face". And I think her nose should have been a little bigger. BUT, I still think I've seen worse.

While I do like Manara's work, this one isn't his best, and it isn't his field. Marvel was wrong to contract Manara to do this or any work in the Marvel Universe, and the art style doesn't belong there. And Manara should refuse work that is not supposed to be overly sexy, because he doesn't know how to tone down for a younger audience.
