Longtime gamers remember there was a game called Star Trek -- Starfleet Academy Starship Bridge Simulator for the Sega Genesis, SNES, and 32X. It is a game that puts you on the bridge of a Starfleet ship, literally giving orders to the various stations such as navigation, engineering, and so on.
So picture this: TV set against the wall. SNES with the game inserted in front of that. In front of that is me sitting in a rocker-style close to the floor video game chair with the controller. And behind me, in a Barcolounger sitting higher so he can see over me, is the guy I lost the bet to. He is wearing a Next-Gen Starfleet uniform and issuing orders from "the captain's chair" to guide me through the game.
Yeah. He got to live his fantasy. At least it was one I could deal with.
