So, the #1 rule on the coder channel is, you can say whatever you want, pick on whoever you want, insult any way you want, offend whoever you want.  BUT if it's your day in the barrel, you dished it out, you better be able to take it.  We lose more people because they can't take the same treatment they dump on the board.

And that goes for me, too.  I'm probably the most open about himself on the board, so everyone knows what makes me tick.  They know about the fascination with mermaids.  They know I watch My Little Pony but can't stand Bronies.  Programming skills.  Everything.  And that includes being a Christian.

So, some people decided to pick on me on Creationist grounds.  I really didn't feel like dealing with it, but I talk a lot of smack myself, so I had to put up with the dogpile.  Until someone accidentally gave me an out.

"So, what, you think all those dinosaur bones and fossils are fake?"

I put on my +10 Cap Of Sarcasm and said, Yeah, they were created by the CIA to discourage time travel.

The channel went silent.  That doesn't happen often.

One of the guys wrote, "You know what?  He may be on to something."

Wrote another, "Yeah.  Pot."

And things were a lot more civil after that.
